SHETTIMA SHEHU AJIRAMBE (HEADMASTER)
MIDDLE SCHOOL JUNE, 1952
“Ali Monguno a very intelligent Mallam appears to have had teaching “FORCED UPON HIM” and therefore, treats this work more as a job than a vocation. He could be very good if he wished to work hard. He inclined to be lazy and needs an occasional prod to be kept upon to the mark. He would go a long way with more effort on his part”
W.G. WHITTENBURY Col.
Mallam Ali Monguno:- Middle School Teacher, a keen young teacher takes an interest in the School, with more experience he should do very well. A pleasant personality.
T.N. Redford
Provincial Education Officer

Mallam Ali Monguno a very satisfactory member of the staff has been interested in all aspect of school life. Would be an asset to any school. He is trying for a scholarship to U.K. and would no doubt benefit greatly if successful. He is at present attending the Man “O” War Course. He is also secretary of the Local Scout Association.

EMPIRE DAY 1956
The arrangements for Empire Day were handed over to Mallam Ali Monguno. He had to stage a formal parade in the morning and sports in the afternoon. Nine Schools were involved and as there had not been a parade for the last two Empire Days he had inexperienced children and teachers to deal with. The afternoon arrangements were quite the best I have seen in Maiduguri. Mallam Ali Monguno has shown that he can take and discharge quite big responsibilities
